2015 Western Regional Chem-E -car competition

NOTE: MONDAY, APRIL 20 IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE
Please note that filling out this form alone does not mean your registration is complete! You must also be sure to submit all required documentation to AIChE by the deadlines listed on their official website. For the western regional competition, the deadline is March 27, 2015. Competition rules and logistics, as well as safety rules, may also be found there. Please make sure sure that you (and your car) adhere to AIChE's safety rules. Failure to do say may result in disqualification.

To submit your EDP please upload one pdf to the Western box.com account. Access was provided to the box.com account for each advisor and president of your student chapter. If you would like another person to have access, please email allic@aiche.org.
NOTE: TEST LOGGING INTO THE ACCOUNT OT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ACCESS.
EDP Document: Remember to include the following in your EDP: JSA Form, Safety and Rules Regulation Form and Certification form. Please combine all of these documents into one pdf and name it with your school name (not your car or team name), for example: Univ. of Michigan EDP.
Safety Questions: Note: Please direct all safety questions to allic@aiche.org and she will pass them on to the Chem-E-Car committee for review. Your conference hosts can’t answer safety related chem-e-car questions.
Conference/Logistics Questions: Questions about the conference, travel, logistics, etc. should be directed to the Student Conference Chairs:

UPDATE 1: Competing teams will be required to attend a safety review session at the conference. All team members must be present in order to compete.
Note: The standard conference registration pricing will no longer be available after 3/31/15, so be sure to register here!

UPDATE 2: We will supply hydrogen but If you need any other chemicals, send them to:

Make sure to send a copy of the shipment order to:
conference@cppaiche.com
You are responsible for ensuring that your team has all the chemicals it needs to compete.
You must also bring your own safety equipment (e.g. goggles).

UPDATE 3: For the poster competition, be sure that your poster is no larger than 36" x 48". The conference will provide presentation boards and thumbtacks: NO TAPE, VELCRO, GLUESTICKS, or other permanent fasteners should be used. Avoid posters with foam boards, as they will be too thick to be mounted with thumbtacks.

UPDATE 4: The Jeopardy Competition is scheduled at the same time as the Chem-E-Car safety review. Only 3-4 people are allowed to handle chemicals during the competition. If any of these designated people are also signed up for the Jeopardy competition, they will not have to attend this review but at least two are required to attend.
